what were you doing 10 years ago?
10 years? Wow. 1997. Boy was about to turn five. Oooh. That was not a good time in my life. Not a good time at all. I was working way too many hours trying to avoid the fact that I could not control my son, my marriage, my life. Within the next year, however, everything would change for the better.
five snacks you enjoy
- Any kind of sour cream/cheese based dip and chip/cracker.
- Really good ice cream.
- Popcorn - the real kind with real butter and a little too much salt.
- Chex mix.
- (Okay, here’s the true depth of my food issues coming out…sigh). Pizza Rolls dipped in Alouette Garlic Herb Cheese. (Oh, the shame…)
five songs you know all the lyrics to
- Any Beatles song.
- Any thing off James Taylor’s Greatest Hits.
- Anything off Simon and Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits
- American Pie
- The theme song from “One Day At A Time”
five things you’d do if you were a millionaire
- Quit this damned job.
- Get a house on a lake Up North with lots of room for friends and family to visit.
- Open a rubber stamp/craft store.
- Make my family more comfortable.
- Play. A lot. Travel, party, play.
five bad habits
- Chewing my cuticles. (You know Ally Sheedy in The Breakfast Club? Totally me. “Keeping eating your fingers and you won’t have room for lunch.)
- I watch way too much TV.
- I’m very defensive about being right - even when I’m not.
- Procrastination - especially if it frightens me.
- Letting other people take care of things for me instead of doing them myself.
five things you like to do
- Watch TV.
- Go to the movies alone.
- Hike in the woods.
- Laugh.
- Create.
five things you’d never wear again
- Gauchos
- A bikini
- Paper bag topped acid wash jeans
- Really, really big, round, plastic-framed glasses
- A jumpsuit
five favorite toys
- the computer
- my iPod
- the remote control
- my dog
- anything in the craft room
And that ends the MEME Quiz. I think anyone I would have picked to tag has already done this or isn’t interested or is in freakin’ Alaska, so if you can read this, consider yourself tagged!
